TELEGRAPHER'S SENIORITY LISTS
Each operating division of a railroad prepared a "Seniority" list, showing the date of first employment for every telegrapher (operator) on that division. On the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad, this was done twice yearly. The lists showed the first employment date and the current place of employment. The lists shown below, for July 1942 and July 1964, are for the Ocala District/Division of the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad and were the personal copies of Agent-Operator C. B. Spears. They were removed from the agency at Monticello, FL upon its closure in 1972.
