MARCH 20, 2010 H.B.PLANT RAILROAD HISTORICAL SOCIETY ANNUAL RAIL SHOW AND SWAP MEET, PLANT CITY, FL
The H. B. Plant Railroad Historical Society will hold its annual Railroad Show and Swap Meet March 20, 2010, in the John R Trinkle Center on the Plant City campus of Hillsborough Community College, 1206 North Park Road, Plant City, FL. (Exit 22 from I-4) Hours 9AM-3PM. Chapter members will demonstrate antique and replica telegraph instruments and equipment. See the link on the LINKS page of this site for further details.

IMPORTANT CHANGE: FX Chapter participation cancelled by the museum for this year. There will be no demonstration.
MARCH 27, 2010 ANNUAL TRAIN SHOW, DADE CITY, FL
Florida (FX) Chapter members will have the old Trilby Depot open for demonstrations of antique and replica telegraph instruments and equipment during the annual Dade City Train Show at the Pioneer Florida Museum, located one mile north of Dade City on U.S. Highway 301. Hours 9AM-4PM Saturday.
APRIL 24, 2010 MORSE DAY ANNUAL CELEBRATION WINTER GARDEN, FL
The Florida Chapter will join in with other Morse Telegraph Club chapters in the United States and Canada in celebrating Morse Day 2010, in honor of Samuel F. B. Morse, the father of Morse telegraphy, who was born Aril 27, 1791. Chapter members will display and demonstrate antique and replica telegraph instruments and equipment. Using modern modems which convert normal telephone lines into telegraph lines, members will exchange telegraphic greetings with members of other chapters. The event will be in the Central Florida Railroad Museum, 101 South Boyd Street, Winter Garden, FL. PUBLIC INVITED. Hours 10AM - 4PM.
MAY 1, 2010 PLANES, TRAINS AND BBQ, TAVARES, FL
The annual Railroad Days festival at Tavares has been combined with other events and is tentatively scheduled for May 1, 2010. Check back at this space for further details as they become available. FX Chapter members will have antique and replica telegraph instruments and equipment on display and will demonstrate their use.
